Al Arabian Café is a custom ordering and kitchen fulfillment platform built for a live commercial business in Hyderabad. It handles customer ordering, menu customization, payment processing, and real-time kitchen order tracking.
The Engineering Problem
Off-the-shelf aggregator platforms charge steep merchant commissions and restrict customer data access. The business needed an independent, real-time ordering system with tailored menu management and direct payment reconciliation.

Real-Time Kitchen Order Synchronization
Used PostgreSQL real-time change streams to instantly notify the kitchen display system when orders are paid, avoiding manual polling.
Payment Reconciliation & Order Webhooks
Implemented signed webhook verification to ensure orders are only moved to preparation after verified payment settlement.
